The artwork features 16 mirrored 4-metre tall columns mounted onto a base plate buried below the sand.
The 2018 Sculpture by the Sea featured over 100 sculptures lining the 2km Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk. Alex Ritchie's artwork the Kaleidoscope Cube was chosen to be included in the 2012 Sculptures by the Sea exhibition and was showcased in the middle of Tamarama beach.

Thanks to its lightweight reflective material, the artwork blends into its surroundings, while giving what looks like almost endless reflected views of the surrounding beach and sky.
The sculpture consists of 16 columns positioned in a cube arrangement and are cladded with a mirror-like composite panel. Located on the sands of Tamarama beach, the sculpture gives an interesting play with reflection and light appearing to dissolve with its surroundings.

AG Public Art is proud to have helped with the manufacturing and installation of “Kaleidescope Cube” a pod of 16 mirror-like towers.
